Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine honors the wisdom inherent
in each of our bodies and nature. By the use of individualized
care to remove obstacles to health, and stimulate wellness, clients
are able to restore and maintain healthy balance. Fighting infection,
alleviating dysfunction and enhancing vitality are primary goals
in educating the patient in self-care. Patients of all ages can
benefit from these treatments. Naturopathic medicine is a valuable
tool to promote healing in both acute and chronic conditions.
Initial consultations include a detailed discussion of the client’s
health, diet, lifestyle, and overall sense of well-being. Appropriate
physical exams and laboratory evaluation may be recommended at
this time. The first visit is approximately 1 hour, and subsequent
visits are generally 30 minutes, based on your needs.
Individualized treatment plans are created using naturopathic
therapies such as botanical medicine, homeopathy, clinical nutrition,
exercise, stress management, and physical medicine. Utilizing natural
therapies, we honor the mind-body connection and treat the whole
person.
Naturopathic Doctors are the only physicians that are trained
in natural therapies. Dr. Anne McClenon completed a four-year ,
post-graduate program at a federally accredited university. Her
training includes an extensive study of basic sciences, and of
physiological systems, as well as, supervised clinical training in
the application of natural therapies. These therapies include:
botanical/herbal medicine, homeopathy, clinical nutrition, counseling,
exercise, stress management, and cranio-sacral therapy. |
